We believe that information systems reach far beyond computers. However, we have categorized information systems and technology to relate only to computers and electronics.
Information systems, if broken into two words, consist of two differently defined words, Information and systems. Each word has its own explanation with regards to our interpretation. That interpretation, we feel, is broad enough that it can mold itself to whatever it will have to in the years ahead.
Information, by definition, is data that has been processed and analyzed. Without the processing, data would be nothing. Without applying a structure to data, it is remains raw and abstract.
A System, by definition, is any two or more parts that work together to complete a task. Whether it be a house, a web site, or a computer, each can be considered a system by which different parts or multiple systems work together to be one thing.
Therefore, our adopted combined definition of Information systems is any two or more systems that work together to process data and create useful information that can be passed onto the public. From web design to internet marketing, it takes many different pieces of analyzed data created by a computing system to allow a user to get what he or she is looking for on the Internet in an organized and efficient manner.
Whatever the client's need may be, there is a way to build what is needed. By searching out the different constituent parts and feeding them the data or content, the solution they wish to deliver to the public will be achieved.
